Anke Schönlau works at the Centre for Turkey and European Union Studies (CETEUS, University of Cologne) and is responsible for the management of different EU-Turkey research projects and the Centre’s general activities. She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from University of Bonn and spent two semesters at Bahcesehir University in Istanbul. During her studies, she worked in local and regional media and completed internships at the German Embassy in Baku and the European External Action Service’s Turkey Unit in Brussels. Next to EU-Turkey relations, her research interests include the European Neighbourhood Policy and the EU’s external energy policies.
