Antonia Barthel

Antonia Barthel is Director Strategy, Global Public Affairs at Bayer AG. In this role, she focuses on the strategic development and engagement of Bayer’s Global Public Affairs team in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment. She also oversees public affairs operations in the Middle East and Turkey, supports the development of Bayer’s geopolitical strategy, and leads geopolitical projects. Prior to joining Bayer, she spent four years at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) in various roles, gaining experience in geopolitics, security policy, and human security. Earlier, she worked as an analyst at a boutique consultancy focused on investments in Sub-Saharan Africa.  
She holds a BA in International Studies from Leiden University and an MSc in Security Studies from King’s College London.
