Ece Akın Armutak works as a Technology Governance Manager at MEXT Technology Center, Turkish Employers’ Association of Metal Industries (MESS). Ece is responsible for building sustainability services, building for climate tech and regulation ecosystem at MEXT Technology Center and technology governance in artificial intelligence project at Türkiye Affiliation Center of World Economic Forum.
Ece is leading the new ecosystem with the public and private entities to the decarbonization of the manufacturing industry, and investment-ready environment for clean technologies. Ece was the co-lead and published a whitepaper on the AI in Manufacturing which convened industry, technology and academic experts to shed light on AI challenges and propose a step-by-step approach to overcome them at World Economic Forum.
Ece gained a technical foundation through Engineering Studies, Mechanical Engineering at Bogazici University and further developed financial skills with Masters in Financial Economics at Galatasaray University in Turkey while pursuing a finance career as an FX trader. After completing a Masters in Renewable Energy and Power System Management at City University London in the UK.
Her experience is mainly on strategy, technology governance, and investments with the multi-stakeholder engagements.
