Ece Durmaz completed her BA at Koç University Department of International Relations. After working in a social enterprise in Istanbul on youth unemployment, youth empowerment, social entrepreneurship and social impact management, she completed her MA degree in Development Studies at Lund University, Sweden. She took part in the monitoring-evaluation and grant management phases of the projects carried out in 10 African countries in a Sweden-based humanitarian aid and development organization. Durmaz also worked as a Communication and Reporting Officer at the Support for Civil Society Foundation, which provides grants to small and medium-sized institutions. She currently works for Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA) in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on participatory and inclusive youth policies of local government. Ece Durmaz continues to contribute the Turkish civil society as a volunteer especially on local governance, youth policies and impact management.
