Ezgi Gizem Başer is an Expert on EU Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. She is working at the Department of Accession Policy and responsible for coordinating and monitoring Turkey’s EU accession process. As an Expert on EU Affairs, she is preparing reports on the different aspects of Turkey-EU relations, following inter-parliamentary relations, briefing stakeholders on the state of play in accession negotiations. She also follows the developments in enlargement policy of the EU and the debates on the future of Europe. Gizem holds a BA degree in International Relations from Ankara University and MA degree in International Relations from IBEI (Institut Barcelona Estudis Internacionals) with the support of Jean Monnet Scholarship Program.
