Short biography

Felicitas Weileder is currently attending the Senior Course at NATO Defense College. She works as a Senior Personal Advisor to the Chief of Division I, Directorate-General Joint Force Readiness and Support in the German Ministry of Defence (BMVg). Previously, she was a member of the Task Force that developed Germany’s first National Security Strategy. She also worked as a Deputy Head of the Branch Strategy Development at the BMVg, where she was responsible for strategic foresight, climate change, and the development-security nexus. She holds a Master of Public Policy from Hertie School of Governance and a Master of Public Administration from LSE. Her professional experience includes positions at the German Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva, the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and various elected regional, national, and international positions with Amnesty International, i.a. Vice Chair of Amnesty International Germany 2017 – 2019.
