Gökşen Çalışkan is an experienced media and communications professional from Turkiye and Belgium.
Gökşen began her career as a news reporter, covering Turkey – EU relations and policy developments, before moving to the business side of media. Her experience spans leading European publications including Deutsche Welle and Euractiv, where she deepened her understanding of both editorial and business dimensions of the news industry.
Currently a Senior B2B Advisor at Euractiv, Gökşen plays a key role in building strategic partnerships and driving business growth.
Beyond her professional work, Gökşen is committed to civic engagement. She supports Restless Brussels, a civic initiative that bridges the city’s international community with locals and local realities.
She is also an amateur photography enthusiast and pursues a personal creative project under the name Random Moments.
Gökşen holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Ankara University and a Master’s in Communication Policy Studies from City, University of London.
