Gülin Çavuş is a researcher and entrepreneur working at the intersection of media, AI and disinformation. As the Co-Founder and former Head of Strategy at Teyit, she led numerous projects on media literacy, monitoring crisis, tech-policy. She serves on the Governance Body of the European Fact-Checking Standards Network. Her articles and book chapters on information disorder and AI have been published in various outlets.
In 2024, she founded Yapay Gündem, a platform that focuses on societal impacts of AI and filling the gap in Turkish-language resources. She designs educational programs on AI and ethics.
Çavuş holds a BS in Global and International Affairs from Middle East Technical University and earned her Master’s degree in Urban Policy Planning and Local Governments from the same institution. Her master’s thesis explored local governments’ use of social media for participatory communication.
