Jakobine Janucek currently works at the Federal Foreign Office’s Economic Department in Berlin. She covers economic and trade diplomacy and the relations with German companies in the MENA region and Turkey. Before that she was Chief of Staff to a Member of the Bundestag in charge of trade matters and energy policy. She has also spent several years in Russia, working for a European energy holding and a consulting firm focusing on the wider region and cooperation with neighboring countries such as Turkey. France, Ukraine and the US are among other countries where she collected working experience in the field of public policy. Jakobine holds an MBA in Public Affairs from the Quadriga University Berlin and Master Degrees in Political Economy from Sciences Po Paris and the Moscow Institute of International Relations.
