Turkey and the EU: Overcoming Common Challenges and Bilateral Tensions

Project description

Joanna Hosa is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Joanna Hosa is a programme manager at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) in London, where she works on EU foreign policy regarding Russia, Ukraine and other Eastern Partnership countries, Turkey and Western Balkans.
Previously, she worked on democracy, human rights and peacebuilding policies for civil society organisations and EU institutions in Brussels and Paris, with a regional focus on Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (Politics and German studies) and the College of Europe (European studies).
Joanna’s areas of interest include EU enlargement and neighbourhood policies, Russian foreign policy, conflict resolution and the Arctic.
