Julia Reischle joins the German diplomatic service in July. She previously worked at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) in London, where she was responsible for the coordination of ECFR’s pan-European network of decision-makers and influencers and their engagement in European foreign policy and advocacy initiatives. She has been interested in Turkey ever since living in Istanbul with her family. During her traineeship in the civil society section of the EU Delegation in Ankara, she learned more about the complexity of the EU-Turkey relationship and the importance of providing safe spaces for dialogue. She is a graduate of the College of Europe in Bruges and holds a Franco-German double degree from Sciences Po Lille and the University of Münster.
