Marian Karagyozov has an LL. M. degree from the Law Faculty of Sofia University and a bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from New Bulgarian University. He is a policy analyst at the Institute for Balkan Studies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and editor-in-chief of the not-for-profit UN Association News media. He has worked as a foreign policy expert, Bulgarian National Radio`s Turkey correspondent (2017 – 2020), and chief of staff of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Bulgaria. He has authored a monograph on Turkish Foreign Policy, several book chapters, and numerous articles for Bulgarian media outlets, mostly on issues related to Turkey and the Middle East. Currently, Marian Karagyozov is completing his PhD-thesis, focused on the relations between Turkey and the Middle East (2002 – 2011).
