Short biography

Neslihan Altun is specialized in European governance, public opinion and public management. Currently she is working as a Policy Officer in the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in the field of migration and integration policies and European Social Funds Projects.

As part of her educational and professional career, she gained experience at the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, at the Representation of the Free State of Thuringia to the European Union in Brussels and at the EU Research Center at Ankara University. The relationship and the public opinion analysis between EU and Non-EU countries, particularly Türkiye, have become her thematic priority. She completed her Master’s degree in Public Policy with focus on management and organization at Hertie School in Berlin and a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies with Social Sciences at the Chemnitz University of Technology.

As an Avicenna-Studienwerk, Hertie School and Fulbright scholar, she also spent semesters abroad at the University of Latvia and at the University of California, Los Angeles.

She is currently setting up a network for employees with an international history (MIG) in the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs
