Short biography

Nina Locher works as the personal advisor to the President of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Dr. Ellen Ueberschär, where she advises the President on her areas of responsibility, including domestic policy, Europe, North America, Turkey, Israel, as well as foreign and security policy. Prior to this, she worked as a freelance writer, focusing on the UK-EU relations and authored the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Brexit Blog. From 2016 to 2018, she worked at the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation as a project manager, where she was responsible for projects on Turkey, Greece and European energy transition. Nina Locher holds a dual master’s degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Hertie School in Berlin, with previous Bachelor’s studies at the University of Konstanz and the Istanbul Bilgi University
