Özge Inan is a journalist and writer who focusses on migration, women’s rights and human rights. She holds a degree in law (Erstes Staatsexamen) from Freie Universität Berlin. Before publishing her first novel in 2023, Özge Inan worked for various german media outlets including Süddeutsche Zeitung, Der Freitag and ZDF Magazin Royale. She was included in the Top 30 under 30 list by Medium Magazin for her journalistic work as well as the 30 under 30 list by Zeit Campus for her literary writing in the same year. The year before, she was granted a fellowship for emerging investigative journalists by Netzwerk Recherche and Neue deutsche Medienmacher*innen. Her writing career started as an online columnist for a humanitarian NGO during her law studies. She currently lives in Munich.
