Paul Schwenn is a freelance journalist, mainly working for Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) but also weeklies like DER SPIEGEL. His special area of interest is German-Turkish relations since he was listening to Gangsta Rap in his youth. By learning Turkish during his Bachelor’s degree at the Freie University in Berlin Paul Schwenn could not only finally understand his favourite rappers slurs but also dive deeper into Turkish culture.
During his Master’s degree in German-Turkish relations, Paul studied at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara and worked as an intern for the Cumhuriyet Newspaper in Istanbul. Back in Berlin, he helped establish “Marjinal Fayda”, a media collective for and by young migrants from Turkey. With TEFF Paul Schwenn wants to find new perspectives and connections, understand and exchange views.
