 Rümyesa Camdereli works as a project expert, researcher and gender expert at the YADA Foundation since 2015, and she has been the research director of the foundation since the beginning of 2020.
After graduating from Kabataş Erkek High School in 2006, she graduated from Boğaziçi University Computer Engineering Department in 2013, and then, she graduated from Istanbul University Gender Studies Master Program in 2019. She describes herself with these words: Muslim, feminist, activist and civil society employee, musician, mother. She has been part of different organizations such as Emek ve Adalet Platformu (Labor and Justice Platform), Kadına Şiddete Karşı Müslümanlar İnisiyatifi (Muslim combatting against violence against women). And she is one of the founders of organizations Kadınlar Camilerde (Women in Mosques), Reçel Blog (www.recel-blog.com) and Havle Women’s Association.
