Zeynep Alraqeb is a multilingual economist with experience in economics, social entrepreneurship and politics. She is currently based in Paris and works at the Banque de France on macroeconomic topics related to emerging economies, in particular focusing on Turkey and the MENA region. Before moving to France, she served the Deutsche Bundesbank for several years contributing to issues on economic and financial micro data management and processing. Zeynep is a MSc. Economics graduate of the University of Warwick and earned her BSc. in Economics from the University of Cologne. During her studies she was a Friedrich-Ebert scholar. She also studied abroad in Turkey and in the USA, where she was a Fulbright scholar. Beside her professional work she also serves as a head of the Zahnräder Network, a social incubator, bringing passionate young professionals from all around Germany together.
