Dr. Zachary Paikin is a Researcher in EU Foreign Policy at the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels (CEPS). He is also a Nonresident Research Fellow at the Institute for Peace & Diplomacy in Toronto, Senior Visiting Fellow at the Global Policy Institute in London, and an Expert with the Minsk Dialogue Council on International Relations. In 2019, he was named a GLOBSEC Young Leader and in 2021 he was invited to join the European Leadership Network’s Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security (YGLN). Paikin is also a member of the Cooperative Security Initiative, a project endorsed by the OSCE and co-sponsored by GLOBSEC and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung’s Vienna office, which works to enhance international cooperation in the wider European region. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Kent in Canterbury, where his research focused on Russia, great power relations and the future of international order.
